Example: ReNew Our Schools

Since 2007, we have worked with Resource Central (formerly known as Center for Resource Conservation) to engage students all over Colorado in energy conservation campaigns through friendly competitions. The program empowers the young people to create behavioral and energy usage changes in their schools, homes and communities. Over the years, we have reached tens of thousands of students and their families and have also rewarded hundreds of thousands of dollars to winning schools to invest in renewable energy upgrades and energy efficiency improvements. Collectively, the participating schools are on track to save millions of dollars in energy savings. More importantly, the program helps create the next generation of environment champions. The program is currently expanding nationwide.
